Probe into septic tanks hidden in sand dunes

A LOCAL authority has commenced an investigation into reports of septic tanks concealed in protected sand dunes in a scenic coastal area.

Donegal Co Council confirmed yesterday that an inquiry was under way into the "alleged presence of septic tanks" at Urris near Clonmany.

The location in the north Inishowen peninsula is 20 metres from a popular beach and on private lands close to a privately owned caravan park.
