The Coca-Cola company is to apply for planning permission to establish a $300 million manufacturing and research and development facility on a 41 acre site in the Wexford Business Park.
The Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Mary Coughlan made the announcement this afternoon.
It is expected the new facility will create around 60 jobs after one year rising to more than 100 jobs after five years. The jobs will be in process development, engineering and manufacturing.
Ms Coughlan said the company’s decision was a ‘strong endorsement’ of Ireland’s attractiveness as a location for strategically important and knowledge-dependent activities from a leading international company.
