Daly refused Ballsbridge project

Developer David Daly has been refused permission to redevelop Franklin House in Ballsbridge. Daly bought the site for a reported €25m, equating to a price of €133m, making it the most expensive land in the country.

Daly had been planning to develop a four- to eight-storey office block on the site but the plan was opposed by local residents, including businessman Dermot Desmond. An Taisce also opposed the plan.
