Public consultation on the design of the Opera Site in Limerick City

Limerick City and County Council has prepared a Design Brief for the Opera Site in Limerick, which provides a framework for the development of this site, in accordance with the provisions of the ‘Limerick 2030: An Economic and Spatial Plan for Limerick’  and Limerick City Development Plan.

The Design Brief is intended to guide future development on the site, having regard to the statutory planning context and site-specific constraints. Submissions or observations with respect to the Design Brief should be made in writing to Planning and Environmental Services Department, Limerick City and County Council, Dooradoyle, Limerick and received before close of business on 3rd April 2018. The project has achieved total funding of €170m from two European initiatives. This was covered in the Irish Times back in January; they noted how: "When completed, the €200 million project will deliver commercial and cultural space in the heart of the city and will be capable of employing up to 3,000 people".
